Bellissimo: Illustrated by Avalon alongside the harbour of the deepest and most beautiful of the Italian lakes, the extraordinary and very rare Alfa Romeo 8C-2900 is considered the world's first 'supercar'. Created in the 1930s, with engineering by the legendary Vittorio Jano, these were fast supercharged machines, graced with glorious bodywork, usually by Carrozzeria Touring. Phil Hill, the first American to win the world Formula One championship back in 1961, stated that he thought this was the greatest car built before WWII. It was also the fastest road car built before the war, with a top speed of over 140 mph.
Following the successful completion of the 1st Edition run a new Edition 'B' is now on sale. This edition will be Giclee printed on a heavy grade (310gm) 100% cotton, archival paper. Giclee printing is the 'gold standard' for producing fine art prints. It reproduces stunning, vibrant colours and great image depth and detail.
