French victory: The second of seven races in the Grand Prix d'Europe, the 1955 Monaco Grand Prix was won by Maurice Trintignant in a Ferrari 625 - a brilliant win having started in ninth position at a circuit where overtaking is notoriously difficult. This race scored Trintignant his first Grand Prix victory, making this the first win for a French Formula One driver. Avalon has depicted the legendary Casino de Monte-Carlo, with cars passing by at full speed during the 100-lap race.
