Model Behaviour: the select and seductive 500 Superfast, heir to a fine tradition of sporting thoroughbreds from Maranello, was launched at the 1964 Geneva Show. The sales brochure advertised 'a Ferrari for Sovereigns, performers and great industrialists.' "All sorts of people buy Ferraris, in fact," wrote Enzo Ferrari in his intriguingly-titled memoirs My Terrible Joys, "although most of them fall into one of three main categories: the sportsmen, the fifty-year olds and the exhibitionists." To quote a recurring journalistic theme, "Until you have driven a Ferrari, your driving experience is incomplete."
